It looks like the weekly newsletter will once again be a permanent fixture, and this is the second week in a row that SolusJoshua Strobl has announced a new facility to keep the community up to date on the latest innovations.

So, the 31st newsletter is here to inform Solus users that their Linux kernel-based operating system is now officially embracing the rolling release model, which means that what you're using now will be supported forever, or at least until something breaks and you need to reinstall it.
Solus 1.2.1 will be released next week. These stages are here only for newcomers to this operating system, to grab it and install it on their personal computer, so that they don't have to bring a huge number of updates to the product immediately after the installation is complete.
Once Solus 1.2.1 is available, the team will have the GNOME Stack 3.20 update available, as well as the PulseAudio 9 sound system.
Thanks to the creator of the popular Arc GTK theme and icons, which is the default theme used in Solus, the Budgie desktop is fully compatible with GNOME 3.20. So yes, there are a lot of goodies coming to many Solus users, and it's not even Christmas yet. Not to mention a new batch of improvements to the ypkg2 tool.
Last but not least, many applications have been updated with the latest versions that have been released. Some of the most popular ones we can mention are Mozilla Thunderbird 45.2.0, uGet 2.0.8, darktable 2.0.5, Mesa 12.0.1 3D Graphics Library, and Samba 4.3.11.
