This version comes with many improvements. One of them concerns the playback of videos on the web. TOR Browser 6.0 now better supports HTML5 videos on YouTube.
This automatically ties you more closely to HTML5 and you can now forget about your Flash plugins (amen!). This fact in itself automatically removes all the security risks associated with Flash and the possibility of your IP being leaked.
To make things easier for OS X users, the TOR team has introduced 6.0 code-signing for OS X systems.
No support for SHA-1 certificates
Following in the footsteps of browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, TOR Browser 6.0 has removed support for SHA-1 certificates. This reflects the biggest security change made to the web browser.
The TOR team also fixed a serious DLL hijacking issue.
