In one of the most recent attacks, users received emails from verify@appe.com, “informing” them of a restriction on accounts . To remove it, users had to log in and update their data.
The email uses the same graphic style as the large company, but if users are careful they will notice the problematic spot in the email , which is missing an "l" from the domain name. (appe.com)
If users are careless and click on the link contained in the e-mail, they will find themselves on a fake company page, where their data will be recorded in the database , along with information regarding credit card details.
