Twitter:Users receive Direct Messages from everyone
Twitter has made changes to the way direct messages are forwarded and accepted so that users can receive messages from any other user on the social network.
It is up to the user's discretion whether to modify their security settings to accept direct messages from any other user, Twitter said in a blog post.
“The goal is to facilitate communication and its immediacy between individuals, businesses and charitable causes,” says Nhu Vhong, a senior software engineer at Twitter, among other things.
