The American football company, which owns the website ScoreSports.com, announced that its systems have been breached as a result of a hacking incident, resulting in the theft of credit and debit card data.
The unfortunate incident was detected by the company on October 21, and after investigation, it was determined that the intrusion occurred on September 4. However, it appears that the hackers were able to access card information collected from June 1 to September 4, from ScoreSports.com customers.
The leaked information includes name, card and payment account number, expiration date, and SCORE account number. There is no evidence that the addresses and security codes have been compromised by malicious actors.
Affected users are urged to monitor their account activity for suspicious transactions and to notify their card issuer of any suspicious purchases. If such an incident is reported promptly, there is no liability on the part of the customer for any unauthorized charges.
SCORE was founded in 1975 and is a family-owned business. It distributes apparel and accessories for football, basketball and baseball at factory prices.
