Japanese police have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possessing weapons believed to have been created by a 3D printer.
Police say this is the first time they have seized weapons that may have been produced with the help of the technology. They have accused the man, who is a college employee, of hiding two plastic pistols in his home in Kawasaki, near Tokyo.
Police launched an investigation after the young man posted a video of his weapons on the Internet. They seized 5 plastic pistols, 2 of which could be used to kill. They did not find any bullets.
