A Michigan bank robbery suspect has been arrested by the FBI after an incriminating photo of him was posted on Facebook showing him holding a submachine gun. Authorities say the same gun was allegedly used in a robbery at a bank branch in Bay City.
21-year-old Jules Bahler, aka “King Romeo,” made the mistake of posting a photo of himself with a gun on social media the same day he committed the robbery, even boasting that he “just bought his first house and a chopper.”
However, the young man could not imagine what he was about to follow. After locating and analyzing his photos on Facebook, the authorities found that Bahler's appearance matched the images of the robber, which were taken from the bank's security cameras.
Thus the authorities began to monitor the young man's house, which also appeared in a photo on Facebook. Last week, the agents stopped the suspect for questioning as he was leaving his house, and arrested him for illegal firearm possession.
Bahler was taken to the department, where he eventually confessed to committing a total of three bank robberies in Michigan.
