End of an era! Bill Gates resigns as Microsoft Chairman!

Microsoft founder Bill Gates will now have an advisory role in the company he founded and turned into a technology giant.

Microsoft has announced that Satya Nadella will succeed Steve Ballmer as CEO of the company. Last August, Ballmer announced that he would retire within the next 12 months.

John Thompson will replace Gates as Microsoft president.

Thompson was selected from among 100 candidates.
