New app claims it can "measure" the degree of addiction of "smart" mobile phone users
Researchers from the University of Bonn in Germany have created the "Menthal" application, which is capable of "measuring" the degree of addiction of smartphone users.
Essentially, the application allows us to measure the daily use of our "smart" mobile phone, as well as check which of the applications we use the most, which numbers we call most often, and how much time we spend "surfing".
Researchers studied the behavior of 50 students over a six-week period using the app. It was found that 25% of the students used their mobile phones for more than two hours a day.
At the same time, the study concluded that the majority of users did not use the device to make phone calls but for other functions (browsing the Internet, sending emails and using applications).
The Menthal app is available for free from the Google Play Store.
