Microsoft announced that Windows 8.1 users will have unlimited access to all New York Times articles until January 31, giving them the opportunity to read high-quality news in the Modern UI of their desktop or tablet.
“During this event, Microsoft and The Times are giving you full access to more than 25 sections, as well as articles with videos and slideshows. You can also pin sections and blogs to your Start screen, using Live tiles to get the latest news at a glance. Stay up-to-date on world, business, arts, technology, sports, travel and more,” the company said.
The New York Times app comes with full support for the Microsoft Modern UI and includes features to make it easy for users who want to read news on Windows 8.1.
Of course, the program works on both: desktop computers and tablets, as it offers support for x86, x64 and ARM versions of Microsoft's new Windows 8.1 operating system.
