Anonymous in Honduras carried out hacking attacks against multiple high-profile websites, protesting fraud in the presidential elections held in the country on November 24.
The hacktivists managed to compromise a significant number of websites, including the state Tourism Agency (zolitur.gob.hn), the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports (scad.gob.hn), Interpol Honduras (Interpol.gob.hn), the National Police (policianacional.gob.hn), the Supreme Electoral Court (tse.hn), and the Party of Innovation and Unity (pinusd.hn).
The hackers posted messages on the compromised websites, accusing government officials of control and manipulation of the media, warning them, however, that they control cyberspace. Additionally, they called on all citizens to gather evidence of electoral fraud and submit it to blackophn.blogspot.com, also urging them to a peaceful protest.
