Apple software engineers are reportedly testing iOS 26.4.1.

Apple software engineers are testing iOS 26.4.1, according to MacRumors visitor logs, which have proven to be a reliable indicator of upcoming iOS releases in the past.
The iOS 26.4.1 update is expected to be a minor update that fixes bugs and/or security vulnerabilities and will likely be released either this week or next.

Last month, Apple launched the Studio Display XDR and promised to release a Medical Imaging Calibrator that allows the display to display DICOM medical images. According to 9to5Mac, this feature has received FDA approval and will be released this week, so there may be a macOS 26.4.1 update and/or a firmware update for the Studio Display XDR.
This medical feature will allow radiologists to view diagnostic images in applications, such as Visage 7, directly on the Studio Display XDR.
These updates will be released before iOS 26.5 and macOS 26.5, which are currently in beta.

iOS 26.4.1: A small but useful update
The possible release of iOS 26.4.1 shows that Apple is continuing its familiar cycle of small, targeted updates that precede larger releases. If the logs are confirmed, the release of the update in the coming days will be more “quiet”, focusing mainly on bug fixes and security enhancements, without bringing new features. Although such releases often go unnoticed, they are critical to the stability of the system and usually prepare the ground for larger updates.

At the same time, the timing suggests that iOS 26.4.1 may be released alongside corresponding fixes to other company operating systems, in anticipation of the next beta releases. If this scenario is confirmed, Apple will attempt to "clean up" any issues before the arrival of iOS 26.5, keeping the user experience smooth and secure at all levels of its ecosystem.
