Check them out, download them and make your everyday life easier.
A new computer must have the right software. Today we present you a list of the 10 best and -mostly- free programs that will help you in your everyday life and in any problems you may have.
1)Dropbox
Dropbox is a great application that allows you to organize your files from wherever you are. If you use more than one computer to do your various tasks, with Dropbox you can synchronize all your files in one account. Forget about transferring files on USB sticks or in various emails. Now you have the ability to place all your files in your Dropbox folder and if you have the corresponding application installed on your computer or mobile phone (since it is available for free for all platforms) you have immediate access to them. Finally, if in the worst case scenario you lose your mobile phone or laptop, all your files are stored on Dropbox servers so they are available from wherever you are. 2)CCleaner
The well-known and essential cleaning tool for all computers could not be missing from our list since -although it has become "outdated"- its existence and its functions have made it irreplaceable for years. With this and depending of course on the number of useless files on your computer, you can save a lot of space on your hard drives. At the same time, you will also notice a noticeable difference upwards in terms of the general performance of your computer. This is because several elements that are "useless" are deleted from various programs such as Google Chrome, Micosoft Office, Winrar, Mozila Firefox, etc. Finally, in addition to the others, its second main function is to clean the registry of your machine, which deletes either all entries that are empty (i.e. do not lead anywhere), or those that are not needed. However, it would be a good idea to keep a backup every time you make changes to the registry (there is a relevant option in Ccleaner) so that you are not surprised later. You can download CCleaner from here.
3)Speedfan
Those of you who are involved in the sport of overclocking will certainly know this program. With Speedfan you can see in real time the temperatures, voltages, and fan speeds of your computer's hardware. If something overheats, you can also change the fan speed and thus the temperatures will be displayed (and also change) dynamically in the lower right part of your screen. In general, there are several indications that you will notice. Speedfan is recommended for computers that are experiencing overheating problems. Download it for free from here.
4)Teamviewer
If you still can't figure out your computer's problems and would like a second opinion (or perhaps an opinion from someone more specialized in these matters), then Teamviewer will help you out. With this remote management program, you can receive or give a helping hand via the Internet. It is considered an essential tool for computer technicians since they can now manage almost all their customers remotely via a secure connection. It supports several languages, is very easy to use and can be used for VPN connections as well as file transfers. And above all, it is free and can be downloaded directly from here!
5)Recuva
How many times - mostly out of habit or by mistake - have you emptied your recycle bin and then regretted it bitterly because there was something inside that you didn't want to delete? Don't worry though, there is always a way to recover it. And no, you don't have to resort to expensive commercial solutions (although sometimes this seems inevitable) since with Recuva you can restore various types of files even after formatting. Also, there are quite high rates of probability for "broken" disks, especially since we are talking about a free tool that you can download from here.
6) Microsoft Security Essentials
We know that there are many suggestions for free antivirus. Many times, opinions differ as to which one is the most effective. However, one of the simplest, easiest to use and with the highest detection success rates is MSE. It can detect and "clean" many of the viruses, spyware and various other malicious programs that circulate unchecked in the Internet world. With daily updates, scheduling capabilities for automatic control and very low consumption of your system resources, MSE seems to have that something extra and stands out from the rest of the competition. It is available for free from here.
7) Revo Uninstaller
You will have noticed several times that after you uninstall a program from the classic Add/Remove tool of Windows, some files stubbornly refuse to be deleted and remain on your hard drive. However, by using Revo Uninstaller, this will not happen again. By selecting the program you want to remove, you are given the opportunity (after running the necessary uninstall file) to completely search your computer for any "remnants". The search is not limited to your local hard drives, but also extends to the registry, which can "lighten" a lot of this process, thus gaining a lot in performance and reducing the burden on your system. The scan may take a little longer, but it is worth it. Forget the Windows tool and start using Revo Uninstaller today, which you can download from here.
8)Easeus Partition Master
You've reached a point where your hard drive can't take it anymore and you've decided to invest your money in a new 2TB that has been shining for you for a while. But 2TB is a bit too much, don't you think? Wouldn't you like to have, for example, four separate virtual disks, which you would use one for the operating system, one for your games, one for your music, and so on? With Easeus Partition Master, this process is now a breeze. Forget the cumbersome Disk Management tool of Windows, since with Easeus (old-timers will remember it as Partition Magic) you can now resize and compress/split your hard drive exactly as you wish. Finally, you can change the format from NTFS to FAT32 and convert the logical partition to primary and vice versa. It should be mentioned that only the Personal Edition is free and you can download it from here , but there are -for the more advanced- also the paid versions, Professional and Business editions. The latter is ideal for small businesses.
9)PC Decrapifier
Okay, you've done it with your new hard drive. But what happens when you buy a new laptop/netbook and you want to get rid of all this "junk" that is usually pre-installed on all branded laptops and desktops? HP software from here, Sony software from there and generally useless things everywhere that you should, in our humble opinion, get rid of at all costs if you want your computer to "run" properly in the near future. PC Decrapifier is a must-have program for such cases since through a fairly easy-to-use and very detailed list you can get rid of many of these useless programs with just a few clicks, thus saving a lot of time and effort. 10)Google Chrome
We left for last a choice that will surely bring quite a few reactions. So why should I use Chrome and not another browser? Because quite simply it is the fastest of all. In this area, we believe, no one can dispute it. Internet Explorer (although we have not tested 10, which is available in Windows 8), Firefox, Opera and Safari simply lag behind in terms of speed but excel in other aspects. But here too, Chrome seems to be getting quite close to the competition. Let's take the issue of extensions, which is its weak point. When it first started, there were about 300 Google Chrome Extensions, and even in beta form. Now, through a fairly easy-to-use and fully interactive Chrome web store, it numbers several...thousands. The daily steps of progress and the innovations that are presented from time to time (search and browsing directly from the web address, etc.) have won the public's preference, but ultimately ours as well. Download Chrome from here.
