Google is retiring its payment processing tool Checkout. The company has already announced the deactivation of the service, and the last days for Checkout are now a fact.
New sign-ups to the service have stopped since May 20, while merchants using Google Checkout will be able to charge orders until November 20.
Google also noted that November 21st will be the last day to ship orders, while on November 27th, all pending orders will be canceled. Finally, merchants will have the ability to process returns until December 20th.
Google Checkout is an online payment processing service that aims to simplify payments for online purchases.
Google will not offer an alternative service and is redirecting users to similar services, such as Braintree, Shopify, and Freshbooks.
