Samsung currently promises up to seven years of software updates for its flagship phones, like the Galaxy S25 — or so we thought. It turns out that Samsung is already offering phones with eight full years of software support! Are you speechless? You're not alone.

The models that offer this feature are in the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus , and S25 Ultra series, but with a difference. These are Enterprise Edition versions of Samsung’s top models, which the company sells specifically for business customers. As in previous years, these editions offer additional benefits, such as enhanced security , IT management tools, and productivity features.

Samsung appears to be improving its offering for business buyers. As SamMobile noticed, the “work” models of the Galaxy S25 series are listed on the company’s official website with support for eight major Android updates, up to Android 23.They will also receive extended security updates until January 2032.

Meanwhile, the regular Galaxy S25s available to consumers offer up to seven years of software and security updates.

This move is not particularly expected. Business customers often purchase devices in large quantities and expect long-term value. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy supports eight years of Android OS updates , giving Samsung the technical ability to deliver on this promise. However, Samsung itself has yet to officially confirm the details on its website.
