What are the key security measures to protect personal information?
One of the key security measures to protect personal information from hacker attacks, such as the one at Samco, is to use strong and unique passwords. Passwords should include a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters and should not be used for multiple accounts. Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) is another important measure, as it adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity through a second factor. Regularly updating software and applications is critical to protect against vulnerabilities and attacks. Using antivirus and anti-malware software is essential to detect and prevent attacks. Educating and raising user awareness about threats and social engineering techniques, such as phishing, is vital.
