In recent hours, reports have been circulating that Apple has canceled its plans to launch its autonomous, electric vehicle the Apple Car. The company had been working on the Apple Car , or Project Titan, as it was codenamed, for more than a decade and had invested millions of dollars in its development.
Apple's Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williamshave announced the cancellation of the project to the roughly 2,000 employees working on it. The employees working on the electric car will move to artificial intelligence to work on generative AI under head John Giannandrea.
Several engineers and automotive designers worked on the Apple Car . Some of them will be laid off, while others may be moved to other departments within the company.

Apple cancels Apple Car project after a decade
