Microsoft has announced that its artificial intelligence assistant, Security Copilot AI, is now available to select customers for early access.

Security Copilot, the AI-, helps security teams respond to threats faster, using Microsoft expertise and the latest major language models.
This AI assistant, reminiscent of ChatGPT, answers security questions and learns and adapts from interactions to tailor its recommendations to any corporate environment. Its capabilities include instant incident summaries, quick answers with guides, simplified natural language queries, and malware real-time
Additionally, Microsoft's Security Copilot AI helps network and system defenders identify previously unknown threatsby analyzing attack data and correlating signals of threat activity.

As revealed by Vasu Jakkal , Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Security, Compliance and Identity, Security Copilot AI is now also integrated into the Microsoft 365 Defender Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform. Early Access Program participants will also have access to Microsoft Defender Threat Intelligence data at no cost
“Security Copilot is already helping our customers save up to 40% of their time on core security tasks, with features like building complex queries based solely on natural language questions and summarizing security events,” said Jakkal.
“Security Copilot can effectively upgrade a security team, regardless of their expertise, saving them time, allowing them to find what they may have missed before, and allowing them to focus on the most important projects“.

Organizations partnering with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) in the Early Access Program can expand access to their Security Copilot environment, allowing MSSPs to actively participate and collaborate with them through Security Copilot.
Microsoft also provides extensive documentation on how to use Microsoft Security Copilot for various tasks, including event summarization, script and code analysis, etc.
“In security, minutes count. With Security Copilot, defenders can respond to incidents security in minutes instead of hours or days,” Jakkal said in March during the initial presentation.
“Security Copilot provides critical step-by-step guidance and context through natural language-based research that accelerates incident investigation and response“.
Microsoft is now offering Security Copilot for early access, encouraging the digital world to move forward. While we welcome rapid technological advancements, the topic of security remains central and highlights the importance of a strengthened digital line of defense.
At the heart of the service are artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). These technologies enable proactive security: the ability of the system to operate by identifying and addressing threats before they become apparent.
