The Apple Music and Spotify rivalry is a story as old as time. Both music streaming services are constantly adding new features to optimize users' listening experiences and hopefully make some people switch from one platform to the other. Recently, both platforms did it again.

Apple has just added its first personalized new music discovery playlist for its users. While this is a feature that Spotify users have been able to take advantage of for years, Apple Music users have been eagerly waiting for this feature, and it has finally arrived.
As first spotted by Apple Insider, the Discovery station will be located next to the “(Your Name)” station in the “Listen Now” tab of the app.
The difference between this station and “(Your Name) Station” is that it will use your listening patterns to algorithmically curate new music into a playlist that matches your music taste, rather than creating a playlist with only music from your library.
The station is only available to select users, and Apple has yet to announce the feature or share any details. However, MacRumors has found a direct link you can click to access the feature and Discovery Station.

While Apple plays catch-up, Spotify is expanding access to its AI-powered custom music DJ feature. AI DJ creates custom music selections accompanied by realistic voice commentary that provides insights into what you're listening to.
The feature was initially available in beta only in North America. However, Spotify is now expanding the feature to more than 50 markets around the world, including select markets in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Since the feature is still in beta, only Spotify Premium users can access it on the Spotify mobile app on iOS and Android. The feature is located in the “Music feed” tab on the Spotify homepage, where users can click on “DJ” to access the feature.
