WhatsApp is constantly introducing changes and updates that help improve the user experience, and this latest version is no different. After releasing the new bottom bar interface on iOS, WhatsApp is now rolling it out to Android as well. This will bring a completely different way of navigating the app.

WhatsApp recently introduced a chat lock feature, which will keep your conversations safe from other people who might have access to your phone. You will be able to lock your conversations, and to access them again, you will have to use biometric verification – especially important if you use WhatsApp for important business conversations.
WhatsApp brings bottom-line interface to Android users
This is a pretty notable change to the WhatsApp app. Currently, the Android app has a tabbed view with all the important UI elements at the top. This wouldn’t have been a big deal a few years ago, but smartphone are getting bigger and bigger as the years go by. Specifically, they’re getting taller and thinner. Reaching the top of your phone isn’t always possible anymore.
So, it's great that WhatsApp is bringing the Bottom bar to its app. This new change was spotted in WhatsApp beta with version number 2.23.11.6. When you open the app, you'll see buttons for chats, communities, status, and calls at the bottom of the screen. Other UI elements, like the search button, camera, and three-dot menu, are still at the top.

This feature has already been launched on iOS, so Android users will be the last to get it. However, WhatsApp is in the process of rolling it out widely, so you should keep an eye out for the update.
To check and see if you have the update, go to the Google Play Store and search for WhatsApp. You can also do this through the app’s info screen. Look for the green “Update” button at the top of the interface. If it’s not there, then you might just want to wait a few days for the update to reach you.
