In an era where privacy is increasingly under attack, this new feature will help users keep their conversations more secure. The source of this information also shared an explanation on how to use this feature once it becomes available for WhatsApp. This new view-once feature is still in beta. However, it may become available to everyone in the coming weeks.
The view-once feature is not new to WhatsApp users. The view-once feature for photos sent via WhatsApp was rolled out in the second quarter of 2021. This allows users to send a temporary image to recipients, which they can only view once.
Soon, users will be able to send view-once messages to each other. Similar to photos, with this feature, recipients will only be able to view the message once. Once the recipient has viewed the message, it will no longer be accessible.

Once available, the view-once option on WhatsApp will be the second feature for messages. The other feature is called “Disappearing messages,” and with it, sent messages are automatically deleted after a set period of time. WhatsApp users will have more control over their messaging experience with these two new privacy features.
Despite the arrival of this feature on WhatsApp, various privacy concerns will still exist. It will simply help users send secure messages using the Meta. This feature will be accessible to millions of users in a future stable update.
