Transcribing video messages can be done by tapping the “→A” button in the bottom right corner of a video, but this feature won’t be available to everyone. Just like Telegram’s existing voice message transcription, this new feature is limited to users who have a Telegram Premium subscription. The monthly premium subscription costs $4.99 and provides additional benefits such as faster downloads, no ads, and an increased file upload limit of 4GB.

Telegram has introduced new features for free users, starting with Topics in Groups. Starting today, groups with more than 200 members can create personalized spaces for specific topics with separate notifications independent of the group as a whole. This feature is similar to Discord servers that have a main focus but also secondary channels for smaller discussions . You can test this feature by joining the Telegram public group

And finally, we’ll talk about Collectible Usernames. These assets, which are similar to NFTs, can be bought and sold via Fragment. According to Telegram, these vanity names can be up to five characters long and will function similarly to regular usernames. This means they’ll appear when users perform a Global Search in the app and will create ‘username.t.me’ or ‘t.me/username’ links that can be used outside of Telegram.
iOS users will also now see better blur effects and more balanced colors when scrolling through conversations in Night Mode. And Android users can go to chat settings to change the text, including link previews and reply headers. Additionally, Telegram Premium users have access to twelve new emoji that can be set as user statuses or used in messages and captions.
Telegram concluded the update announcement with an apology for the delay in release, saying that “Apple took two weeks to review the update.”.
