Microsoft has released KB5018482 Preview cumulative update for Windows 10 20H2, Windows 10 21H1, and Windows 10 21H2 operating systems .

This update fixes nineteen bugs, including one that caused operating system upgrades to fail. It also fixes some graphics issues in Direct3D 9 games and brings various improvements.

The KB5018482 preview update is being released as part of Microsoft's monthly "C" update for October 20222 in preparation for the November Patch Tuesday updates. This update allows administrators to evaluate the changes and fixes that will be implemented next month.
Preview updates “C” are not mandatory and do not consist of security updates, unlike Patch Tuesday cumulative updates. However, if you are using a Windows Insider build, the update will be installed automatically, without you having to do anything.
To install this update on a Windows device, users need to go to Settings, click Windows Update , and then select “Check for updates.”

Because this update is not mandatory, you should click the 'Download and install' link if you want to install it.

After installing update KB5018482, Windows 10 20H2 will be updated to build 19042.2193, Windows 10 21H1 to build 19043.2193 , and Windows 10 21H2 to build 19044.2193.
