iPhone users are having trouble accessing WhatsApp

iPhone users are having trouble accessing WhatsApp today. For unknown reasons, the iOS app crashes shortly after the user attempts to open it, and the issue is affecting many users worldwide in the past few hours.

As users are reporting on Twitter, WhatsApp has simply stopped working on iPhones. 9to5Mac was able to confirm the bug as WhatsApp sometimes freezes after you tap the app icon, making it impossible to access your chat list or send messages to others.

There have been no recent WhatsApp updates released on the App Store, and even the beta version of WhatsApp available through TestFlight is crashing for no reason. This suggests that the bug may be due to a problem with Facebook's servers and not a glitch in the iOS app.

Με βάση τις αναφορές χρηστών, το σφάλμα φαίνεται να επηρεάζει τόσο τις κανονικές εφαρμογές WhatsApp όσο και WhatsApp Business.

While some users have linked today's bug to the iOS 15.2 update, the app has also been experiencing issues with previous versions of Apple. WhatsApp has so far not acknowledged the bug affecting iPhone users.
