Google and Roku can't seem to reach an agreement to continue offering YouTube TV on the streaming platform in the future. Roku has recently made some bold statements aimed at Google and even sent out an email to its customers warning that negotiations between the two companies may fall through.

In the email, Roku states that while Google doesn't want more money for the deal, it has proposed terms that are "unfair and anti-competitive."

A Roku spokesperson told Gizmodo that Google may revoke YouTube TV customers' access to the streaming , and that his company is still trying to reach an agreement.
The company said: “Google is attempting to use its monopoly position on YouTube to force Roku to accept predatory and anticompetitive terms that will directly harm Roku and our users. Given the antitrust lawsuits against Google, antitrust investigations by competition authorities for anticompetitive behavior, and congressional hearings into Google’s practices, it should come as no surprise that Google is now demanding unfair and anticompetitive terms that harm Roku users.”
Meanwhile, Google claims to have a good partnership with Roku and is disappointed that the latter has decided to make this move and tell customers that they may lose access to YouTube TV while negotiations are ongoing.

This seems like a typical dispute between two big companies trying to manipulate customers to their advantage. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what Google is asking Roku to do in order for YouTube TV to remain accessible on the platform, but it's worth noting that this isn't the first time Roku has engaged in these kinds of tactics in its negotiations.
