0Day fix released on Twitter: In a previous post, we reported on a Windows 10 vulnerability that was released on Twitter. We also mentioned that we should wait for Microsoft to release its scheduled Patch Tuesday on September 11th to fix the security issue.
However, it seems that some others consider immediate security fixes to be much more serious. The developers of 0patch have released a fix that fixes the problem.
The fix is now available for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (build 1803) 64-bit and interested parties can download it for free.
“Okay people, 24 hours after the 0Day was published, we have a micropatch for the SandboxEscaper LPE in Task Scheduler. As you can see, the user-controlled hardlink access is known to the user and reports DENIED,” their official Twitter.
It should be noted that this is a third-party security update. So if you're wondering what will happen when Microsoft finally releases its own patch next month, there's no need to worry.
According to 0patch, users will be able to install updates like they do every month without needing a teak.
Those interested in the patch can download it from the link belowQ
