The operating system deepin 15.5 Linux was officially released today with many new features and improvements.
deepin is known as one of the most beautiful GNU/Linux distributions, while also providing a safe, secure, reliable and easy-to-use operating system.
The latest version, deepin 15.5, is said to offer full support for HiDPI screens, as well as support for the universal binary format Flatpak.
“Deepin 15.5 brings support for HiDPI, fingerprint scanning, as well as support for the universal binary format Flatpak.
The deepin Desktop Environment now fully supports HiDPI scaling, automatically detecting the appropriate resolution to adjust it. Fonts and icons appear with greater clarity and harmony” says the current announcement.
Deepin 15.5 is also the first release of the distribution that will be accompanied by fingerprint scanning support, which can be used for locking and unlocking the screen or for any authentication by applications that support the feature.
The deepin version that has just been released comes with two new applications: deepin Clone and deepin Recovery, which will allow you to clone, create backups, and restore entire disks or partitions.
You will now be able to repair your computer's boot partition if needed.
