Opera Software today announced the newest version of its Opera browser for Android, which comes with a new look, faster access to news, and other notable changes.
Over the past few months, Opera Software has been working on redesigning the UI of the Opera browser for Android to offer users a quick and painless journey to access the latest news and learn what's happening in the world, so you'll never miss a thing again and stay up to date with the latest headlines.
“The new Opera for Android starts with your news feed of what’s interesting and popular on the web. The “For You” section sits under your Speed Dial number and is delivered from your news feed,” says today’s announcement. “The more you use this feature, the more relevant news you’ll get.”
Your new Opera news experience on Android can be made even faster if you choose to enable Reader Mode from the top left of the address or search bar. With Reader Mode enabled, you will be able to access the latest news up to three times faster than if you were using the standard UI.
The new Opera for Android also comes with a fresh new look designed with the user in mind, allowing you to easily set the news categories you would like to see first, disable the news section entirely, as well as various other new options to customize your news reading experience from the “Home” section.
Additionally, the new UI improves the address bar, adds a new O Menu, and new tab galleries to help you quickly customize and enable the features you want in Opera for Android, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for supported devices running a recent version of Google's mobile operating system.
