
The iMac Pro gets new configuration options.
Apple ofRAM to its iMac Pro. With the new options, the top-of-the-line model will be available at a fairly high price, at $15,927 in the United States. The updated configuration options will be available in all markets where the iMac Pro is available.
As first discovered by 9to5Mac, the update will allow consumers to add up to 256GB of DDR4 RAM to their iMac Pro, up from the 128GB available previously, with the new upgrade costing $5,200. The Radeon Pro Vega 64X GPU option also comes in at a price of $700.
Apple offers the 18-core, 2.3GHz Intel Xeon W processor and up to 4TB of SSD storage for the iMac Pro. The base model of the computer includes an 8-core, 3.2GHz Intel Xeon W processor, 32GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB of HBM2 memory, and 1TB of SSD storage. The iMac Pro was originally introduced in June 2017 and became available for purchase in December 2017.
The company is releasing the upgraded iMac Pro configuration options shortly after the launch of upgraded iMac models, which feature 9th-generation Intel octa-core processors and Radeon Pro Vega graphics. The updated iMac models are set to be available in select markets starting next week.
