ORACLE: VirtualBox 6.0.0 released with improved features

As of yesterday, the Oracle team has released VirtualBox 6.0.0, a free and open source hypervisor for x86 computers. Originally, VirtualBox was developed by Innotek GmbH, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2008 and then by Oracle in 2010. VirtualBox is a virtualization product for enterprises but can also be used in homes. It is a unique product with excellent features and high performance, especially for enterprise customers.

What are the features that make it stand out?

USER INTERFACE

• VirtualBox 6.0.0 includes an improved HiDPI and scalable support, with better detection and pre-machine reconfiguration.
• The user interface is simpler and more powerful.
• It includes a new administrator file that enables users to control the guest file system and copy files between the host and the guest.

GRAPHICS

• VirtualBox 6.0.0 has 3D graphics support for Windows guests and VMSVGA 3D graphics for device emulation on Linux and Solaris guests.
• There is additional support for surround speaker setups.
• It comes with an additional use of vboxing-mount on Apple hosts to gain access to the contents of guest disks on the host.
• Additionally, support for Hyper-V has been added to prevent the inability of VMs to run at low performance.

• The new release of VirtualBox 6.0.0 supports Linux20 and VMSVGA.
