Asus' ZenBook 14 is here to overturn everything we know about notebooks.

Apple and light trend. The updated 2018 MacBook Air takes it a step further, with a refreshed look. But the market seems to be questioning whether the MacBook is truly out of the woods. In fact, a number of excellent notebooks seem to be outperforming it, as they are thinner, lighter, and smaller.
The Asus ZenBook 14 UX433 is a notebook that experts say surpasses the MacBook Air. Below is a detailed description of the model so you can see for yourself which is more innovative and user-friendly.
Design
The first thing you notice when you open the ZenBook 14 is the display extension that is surrounded by small bezels. The MacBook Air also has small bezels, but not to such an extent. The ZenBook 14 is very solid and has a full range of MIL-STD-810G standard testing, and its frame is as rigid as the MacBook. In terms of its external appearance, the Asus notebook has a particularly sophisticated blue color with gold trim, with a gold bar above the keyboard, which appears to have buttons that adjust the volume, but is actually decorative. It is also available in gold, silver and space gray. In addition, it includes a full HDMI connection, a micro SD card and USB-A 3.1, USB-A 2.0 and USB-C 3.1 ports, without support for Thunderbolt 3.
Performance
Asus has equipped the ZenBook 14 with incredibly fast and efficient quad-core processors. For specific tasks, such as video editing, it seems to outperform Apple's MacBook. The MacBook uses a faster PCIe SSD than the ZenBook 14. But in practice, the ZenBook 14 is much faster. The screen quality is 14-inch and Full HD (1,920 x1,080) but the MacBook has a higher resolution.
Portability
The ZenBook 14 is 0.63 inches thick and weighs 2.62 pounds. The MacBook Air is 0.61 inches thick and weighs 2.75 pounds. This makes both notebooks equally light and thin and easy to carry around.
Regarding battery life, both notebooks include a 50-watt hour battery, but based on research that has been done, it has been shown that the MacBook battery lasts a little longer.
Although the ZenBook 14 has a larger screen and faster performance, the MacBook Air seems to have more clarity and is better built, making it the more ideal choice for most.
