Last week, Qualcomm at a launch event in Hawaii. It is the latest chipset designed on the 7nm architecture (following Huawei's Kirin 980 and Apple's A12 Bionic) with significantly improved power efficiency compared to its predecessor (Snapdragon 845).

Snapdragon is a flagship processor for mobile devices, with improvements in several features such as 5G support, built-in AI (artificial intelligence) features and more. It is obvious that it will be found in most flagships that will be released in 2019, such as the Samsung Galaxy S10, OnePlus 7, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and others.
The Snapdragon 855 features Qualcomm's Kyro 485, which the company promises is a 45% increase in speed over the previous generation. It also features the Adreno 640 GPU, which promises a 20% increase in performance over the Snapdragon 845.
One of the biggest aspects of the Snapdragon 855 is that it supports the X50 modem. This means that the X50 modem in conjunction with the Snapdragon 855 will make your phone 5G capable. Another upgrade that the new processor brings is WIFI 6. WIFI 6 will provide speeds of up to 10Gbps, lower latency, and greater reliability.
Finally, with the Snapdragon 855, there will be radical changes to the cameras. In fact, Qualcomm says that it will be possible to shoot video in portrait mode in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second, while it will have 2 22MP cameras or one 48MP.
