A Windows 10 October Update that will fix existing bugs is still quite a ways off, and Windows users have been faced with yet another issue.
According to a thread on Reddit, many Windows users are complaining that their Windows Pro edition was downgraded to Windows Home edition, without any warning.
Many users are faced with a Windows Activation troubleshoot notification, which states that their device is running Windows 10 Home, when in fact the device has Windows 10 Pro installed.

The system asks users to install a version of Windows 10 Home to close the troubleshooting notification.
In response to a Windows 10 user affected by the bug, Microsoft wrote–

If you're experiencing the same issue, you can resolve it using the Activation troubleshooter , located in Windows Settings, under Update and Security . To troubleshoot this specific activation error, refer to this Microsoft website
This is not the first issue to arise with Microsoft October Update version 1809. Previously, Windows 10 users have been hit with serious errors such as file deletion, sound problems, font issues, and more.
