Microsoft's Surface event on October 2nd could bring some new products, but rumors say there's nothing particularly exciting this year.

However, one of the devices that could get some upgrades is the Surface Pro. A supposed Surface Pro 6 leaked earlier this week, suggesting that Microsoft is planning rather minor changes in terms of appearance and features.
As you can see in the photos and videos below, the new Surface Pro isn't much of a refresh compared to its predecessor, although we can notice more rounded corners, especially on the front.
There is no USB-C port on this model, which is surprising, at least given that all previous reports indicated that such a feature was expected to be added.
More upgrades could be made on the operating part, where Microsoft is expected to opt for an 8th generation Intel Core processor with up to 8GB of RAM .
The company could also make similar upgrades to the Surface Laptop line and bring new colors to its devices. Rumors have suggested that a black version of the Surface Book 2 would be released, although at this point it's still unclear if that's still an idea Microsoft is working on.
However, it seems that the October 2 event will be about subtle product updates rather than new device launches. For example, one of the models that is highly unlikely to be unveiled during the event is the second-generation Surface Studio, which has long been rumored to be ready for a 2018 debut.
All of the new models that Microsoft will announce at its October 2nd event are expected to go on sale by the end of the month, so we won't have long to wait until we can try them out.
