After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, the phenomenon of a smartphone catching fire has become less of an issue for us. But here's an incident that will definitely not go unnoticed. How scary can a moment be if you're suddenly on a plane and your smartphone starts to smoke?
Better ask Korean Air passengers when on Sunday during the Incheon – Guam flight a smartphone, whose brand and model were not disclosed, began filling the space with smoke.
The staff immediately noticed the smoke and rushed with four fire extinguishers to stop the fire. Fortunately, the plane landed safely, without any unwanted surprises.

The phone may not have caused any damage but it was responsible for a 15-hour delay that affected the next flight.
Although, as mentioned above, no details were provided about the device, an airline employee confirmed that it was not a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the release of which was recalled in late 2016 due to the scandal.
For information, possession of a Note 7 during flights has been banned, while Samsung has tried to pull all devices from the market, although some units are still in use.
