elementary OS 5.0 Beta and CentOS 6.10 are finally here

elementaryAfter quite a long wait, the developers of elementary OS have released the first beta version of the upcoming version “Juno.” It is called Developer Preview and is aimed at any developer or user interested in trying out its new features.

This release will primarily try to provide a better experience, incorporating various design and UX improvements. The designers worked hard and changed about 1000 icon files. There was also a transition from Gtk+ 3.18 to Gtk+ 3.22, resulting in a complete rewrite of its appearance.

elementary OS 5.0 has been updated with a set of default wallpapers, new sound effects, a night light feature, and a better installation process. There are also many other changes and bug fixes.

CentOS 6.10

It is derived from the RHEL sources freely available from Red Hat. CentOS is known for its ability to serve as a server machine as well as a daily driver.

The latest version of CentOS 6.10 comes with many changes compared to CentOS 6. All updates since version 6.10 was released have also been made available on CentOS mirrors.

If you are used to installing all the latest updates on your machine, you will notice a few changes when upgrading to 6.10.

In addition to the usual system improvements and bug fixes, however, many packages have also been updated.
