CortexProg, the programming and debugging board

Developer Dmitry, based in Mountain View, California, has created a new board in the form of the CortexProg. Supporting ZeroWireTrace, Gang-load, MultiCore chip support, LUA plug-ins, and chip-support plugins, the new development board is now available for backing via Kickstarter, with donations starting at $25 or £19.

If all goes well, its worldwide release and shipping capability is expected to take place in November 2018. Dmitry explains more about CortexProg and its features for Cortex-M microcontrollers. “It can serve as the only tool needed for reverse engineering devices, creating new designs, debugging prototypes, programming platforms on production lines, or generally hacking on devboards. CortexProg can read data from a microcontroller, write data to it, reproduce the program, provide live tracing for printf-type errors (ZeroWireTrace), and even allow full GDB recovery.”

“On the PC side, the tool uses HID transport so no drivers are needed on any of the supported operating systems: Linux, Windows, MacOS. The source of the tool is also available so you can create a copy for any other internal environment you may want to run it on. CortexProg is the complete solution for all your ARM Cortex-M cloning and programming needs.”

To learn more about the development board you can head over to its official Kickstarter campaign page for more details on each feature, ZeroWireTrace support, and more.
