Apple is expected to introduce the second iPhone SE next month.
This is a new generation 4-inch iPhone enriched with features that will make it worthy of Apple's high-end models.
Initially, Apple plans to upgrade the processor from the A9 to the A10. Recall that the original iPhone SE came with an A9 chip that is also used in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, so with the second generation, Apple wants to align the iPhone SE with the iPhone 7, which uses the A10 processor.
One expected change is the removal of the headphone jack. The new iPhone SE is likely to be released without the traditional audio jack, which is also missing from the last-generation iPhones. The headphone jack was discontinued with the release of the iPhone 7.
Additionally, the iPhone SE 2 could offer wireless charging. This addition is controversial as wireless charging would require the iPhone SE 2 to use a glass build while previous sources have Apple using an aluminum build.
Of course, since the iPhone SE 2 is likely to adopt the iPhone 7's processor, it is also possible to use the same body materials, so a glass construction is not at all unlikely.
Unfortunately, so far we do not have any official announcement from Apple regarding the features of the new device, so we will have to wait until the presentation of the new iPhone SE 2 in May 2018 to answer any questions.
