Motorola: Samsung's recent ad that mocked the iPhonewas quite successful, with nearly 23 million views on YouTube. But beyond its eternal rival, Apple, it seems that this particular ad intrigued and provoked the reaction of other major rival companies.
Motorola, for example, inspired by Samsung, released an ad for the Z2 Play in which the owner of a smartphone (in this case Samsung) discovers that Motorola offers a more powerful phone.
The company claims that the Insta-Share Projector add-on, available on the Motorola Z2 Play, is much better than any high-end display.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean the video is reliable. The viewing feature is certainly impressive, but the Z2 Play can't compare to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
To begin with, Motorola's phone is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 626 processor, while Samsung's flagship comes with the high-end Snapdragon 835.
Motorola's effort could easily backfire as it challenges the giants Samsung and Apple. The only thing that is certain is that it managed to attract media attention, but on the other hand it received criticism from customers who have already purchased a Motorola device and are disappointed.
It seems that a promotional battle has begun between the manufacturing companies that is anything but boring. So we have to see what Apple is preparing in response to all this…then what Samsung will prepare…then Apple again…and Motorola and any other company that wants to join the game!
