The new Q4OS 'Orion' 1.8.5 is the latest stable release of the distribution and comes with various improvements and fixes (Just released, download the ISOs before the official announcement).
The most important new feature is the integration of alternative desktop environments. So if you don't like the Trinity desktop, you can choose to switch to another DE that's more Linux-like: KDE, Xfce, or LXDE.
The Q4OS Orion distribution has stopped supporting LXQT and according to the developers it will return with the release of Q4OS Scorpion.
The Icedove messaging app is no longer available from the Q4OS installer, as it has been replaced by Thunderbird 45.8.
