Following yesterday's publication of our article about HP and the keylogger contained in several of its devices, the company's associates in Greece sent us Hewlett-Packard's official position.
Recall that the security company modzero AG from Switzerland discovered that some HP devices have a keylogger installed that is present in the audio drivers.
Below is the company's official response as emailed to us:
HP is committed to the security and privacy of our customers and we are aware of a keylogger issue on select HP computers . HP does not have access to any customer data as a result of this issue. Our partner vendor developed software to test functionality prior to product launch HP.com.and should not have been included in the final shipment. Fixes will be available soon through
