Samsung Galaxy J7 V on Verizon

The Galaxy J7 (2017) is one of Samsung's mid-range smartphones that we've been talking about a lot over the past couple of months. The device hasn't been unveiled by the South Korean company yet, but it shouldn't be long before Samsung makes it official.

If you haven't been following the news, then you should know that the Galaxy J7 (2017) will be officially launched globally, but in some countries it will be available under different names.

For example, US-based Verizon will launch the smartphone as the Samsung Galaxy J7 V, while Tracfone will offer it as the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. The different naming could cause confusion for consumers, especially in some countries as the smartphone will be released under different names.

That said, we've already given you a glimpse of what the Galaxy J7 V looks like thanks to a leaked photo from Evan Blass. We doubt there will be any major differences between the Verizon Galaxy J7 (2017) and other models, but anything is possible when carriers are involved.

Another detail that may or may not be accurate is the Galaxy J7 V release date. There's a chance that Verizon will start selling the smartphone on April 10, at least that's what the home screen seen in the press photos suggests.

We don't know anything about the price yet, but you'd be surprised if Verizon offers the Galaxy J7 V for free on some contracts. First of all, the Galaxy J7 (2017) and all variants will come with Android 7.0 Nougat. Furthermore, the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch display with (1080p) full HD resolution.

Inside, the device is said to pack a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage.

Previous reports suggest that the smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
