Microsoft Cortana has made it clear that it wants to expand its reach to Android and iOS with apps and services that are specifically tailored for devices running these software, and is a prime example.
Starting with Windows Phone and then Windows 10, Cortana has expanded to Android and iOS for good, and Microsoft never misses an opportunity to showcase its capabilities on non-Windows platforms.
A typical example is a recently published advertisement that shows Cortana running on Windows 10 and Android, with the company emphasizing how easy and enjoyable it is for the digital assistant to fulfill our every wish, regardless of which operating system you use.
Although Microsoft seems very excited about this investment, many Windows fans were hoping the company would keep the digital assistant exclusively for their own platform.
Others simply expressed their dissatisfaction in comments under the video, while others asked Microsoft why it chose Android and not its own Windows phones to showcase the capabilities of its personal assistant.
The answer to this question has, of course, been given since May 2016 when Terry Myerso, the owner of Microsoft, explained that he wants to give users from all platforms the opportunity to access his services.
The new ad supports exactly this statement, that there is no reason why you shouldn't try Cortana on your mobile.
