Microsoft Ventures is the latest firm to invest in Team8, an Israeli company that helps new businesses focus on their security in cyberspace.

Microsoft thus unites a growing group of businesses to support Team8, including rivals such as Innovation Endeavors and Marker LLC (owned by Google, Executive President Eric Schmidt), Nokia, AT&T, Cisco, Accenture, and others.
«Israel's technological system is known worldwide for its innovation, creativity, and expertise in cybersecurity that truly stands out» said Nagraj Kashyap, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Ventures. Microsoft will work closely with Team8 to explore and investigate some of the most significant challenges the world faces in cybersecurity today.
The mobile telecommunications company Qualcomm also invests in Team8 and is focusing on a growing partnership in new opportunities for cybersecurity, data center, and IoT sectors.
Qualcomm of this security investment through improving its own technologies, such as becoming one of the main chip suppliers for flagship smartphone manufacturers around the world.
Its customer portfolio includes the biggest mobile phone manufacturers, including Samsung, with Qualcomm now expanding into the PC business with a partnership with Microsoft itself, which will bring Windows 10 to ARM chips developed by the company.
Team8 currently has 180 people in one of the largest markets, including the United Kingdom, and Israel plans to expand its workforce by an additional 100 employees by the end of the year.
