A new stable version of the Vivaldi browser has just been released. Unlike previous major releases, version 1.4 doesn't include many new changes. It contains a wide set of bug fixes, while there are only 3 notable features for the end user.
For information, Vivaldi is a browser created by the same people who made the Opera browser with the “Presto” engine. Version 1.4 includes the following additions.
Scheduling a theme change
The browser allows you to change its theme based on a schedule. The user can schedule more than one theme change. You will find the appropriate option in Settings, under Themes.
Variable width for web panel
Web panel is a unique feature of Vivaldi that allows the user to place a web page inside the left panel of the browser. Once added, it can be displayed as a sidebar. Quite useful feature if you are viewing a feed, like Twitter for example. It now has a new option “Separate Width” where you can specify the desired width for a specific panel. It will allow the user to specify the optimal width to display the content for each web panel separately.
Middle-click to restore the last closed tab
With version 1.4, the browser offers the ability to restore the last closed tab by middle-clicking on the trash can icon.
