ESET is participating in the Gartner Security & Risk Management summit taking place this September in London.
With the participation of its top executives, ESET will present the latest technology for businesses and the latest cyber threats, such as the rapid rise of ransomware, while discussing policy issues related to the industry – especially privacy and encryption regulations in the European Union.
One of the important topics to be discussed is the rapid growth of ransomware encryption, to combat which ESET is investing resources in detection and conducting extensive research.
"A real nuisance these days is ransomware, mainly because its symptoms are so visible and the effects so immediate. Many users do not protect themselves properly and do not pay enough attention to responsible online behavior," says ESET Chief Research Officer Juraj Malcho, who will be attending the Gartner Summit.
The other important issue at the top of the agenda will be data privacy legislation in the EU.
“Data protection is a key element of EU regulations, making it mandatory for businesses to adequately protect personal data. ESET are well-equipped to address key aspects of the regulation – specifically technical measures that ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of personal data through encryption, authentication and endpoint,” says Palo Balaj, Head of ESET EMEA Business Development.
More information about these EU regulations and ESET technology, such as DESlock, is available in the dedicated white paper. ESET’s Palo Balaj and Juraj Malcho will also be available for attendees who wish to arrange meetings for more information.
The Gartner Summit will take place in London, 12-13 September 2016 at the O2 London InterContinental. ESET invites all participants to visit its stand by contacting the relevant local contact via the dedicated page
