Google released an unusually large Security Bulletin for Android in July. The updates fix a total of 108 vulnerabilities in the mobile platform.
They include patches for seven critical RCE flaws affecting the Mediaserver component. The rest mostly concern elevation of privilege and information disclosure vulnerabilities in several services, libraries, Bluetooth, and APIs.
Among these are vulnerabilities affecting Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and MediaTek drivers, as well as some kernel flaws.
None of these fixed flaws can be exploited to break Android's Full-Disk Encryption (FDE).
There is also no indication that any of the above issues are being exploited or used in attacks currently online.
"Android partners are encouraged to fix all issues from this bulletin and use the security code,"says .
As always, users of smartphones with the Android operating system, not manufactured by Google, will have to wait until their device manufacturers release new updated versions.
