Apple also introduced the new iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch touchscreen that comes with all the great features of the device released last September.
Called the iPad Pro, but with a smaller screen, the new device, as mentioned above, has a 9.7-inch display and weighs just one pound. It comes in four metal finishes, along with rose gold.
The new iPad Pro features a Retina display that's 40% less reflective and 25% brighter than the one on the iPad Air 2. It runs iOS 9.3, and supports Night Shift, a feature that makes reading text at night quite easy.
The tablet has four speakers and comes with an A9X processor, just like its bigger brother, it supports the Smart Keyboard, but in a custom size.
The Apple Pencil is also available and, as Schiller said when introducing it, it is “the greatest Apple accessory ever.”
There are also some new accessories for this iPad, such as new Lightning adapters for an SD card reader and a USB card reader.
Schiller said Apple focused a lot on the new cameras because “people take a lot of photos with their iPads.”
So the device comes with a 12 megapixel camera with support for true tone flash, live photos.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will go on sale on March 24th for pre-orders, just like the iPhone SE, and will cost $599 for 32GB and $749 for 128GB. The company also mentioned a 256GB version that will cost $899. The devices will start shipping on March 31st.
