When 4chan founder Christopher Poole (known online as moot) announced he was retiring from the Web, many wondered what his next move would be.

A year later, we have our answer.
Through a blog post, Poole announced that he will be working for Google, and in a respectable position.
Could he have been hired to save Google+? Or improve Google Photos?
Nobody knows.
The confirmation from Google's Bradley Horowitz, who previously headed Google+ before leaving the position to take over as vice president of Streams, Photos and Sharing, could mean a lot, but it could also mean nothing.
You may have seen the news (https://t.co/jwjOBocqJk) from @moot. Thrilled he's joining the team! Welcome Chris!

Before Poole retired from his famous website, the community had more than 42 billion page views and over 1 billion visitors.
Nine months later, 4chan was sold to a Japanese company.
Soon after, Poole started two new companies focused on art, images, and design, but both closed very soon.
We await more news about his position at Google.
