Microsoft has just revealed that Windows 10 runs on 200 million devices worldwide.
This means that, in about three months, Windows 10 installations increased by 90 million since the company's last official announcement made in October. This means that about 30 million users upgrade to the new operating system each month.
“We’re even more excited as customers love Windows 10. Overall, we’re seeing significantly higher customer satisfaction with Windows 10 than any previous version of Windows,” Microsoft announced.
Even though the data presented by Microsoft shows a rather impressive performance of Windows 10 five months after its release, Microsoft's top priority remains the installation of the new operating system on 1 billion devices by 2017.
To achieve this, the company is trying to encourage businesses to upgrade their computers to Windows 10. The company is also said to be trying to add the final touches to the operating system for Windows 10 Mobile devices.
The ultimate goal, as we mentioned earlier, is the installation of Windows 10 on 1 billion devices, which will include, besides desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming consoles.
The fact indicates that Microsoft no longer sees Windows as a separate piece of software for different devices, but as a single platform that will power everything and provide the same experience of appearance, feel, and features.
The company's announcement does not mention anything about the dissatisfied users of the new operating system.
